Scope of this service
FactorForge is offered only to US residents. We do not knowingly process data from EU/UK residents or other jurisdictions with regimes such as GDPR or the UK Data Protection Act 2018. If you are an EU/UK resident and have used this service in error, contact us at contact@factor-forge.com and we will remove any residual trace data from our systems.
Your portfolio data
When you upload a portfolio or enter holdings manually, that data is sent to our servers solely to perform the analysis you requested. It is processed in memory and returned to your browser. It is never written to a database, logged, or stored beyond the duration of that request.
Once the analysis is complete, your holdings data exists only in your browser's sessionStorage — a temporary area that is cleared automatically when you close the tab. We have no access to sessionStorage; it never leaves your device.
Analytics
FactorForge uses Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Data collected includes page views, referrer URLs, and general geographic region (country level).
No third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or behavioral profiling tools are used on this site.
Cookies
FactorForge does not set any cookies. Vercel, our hosting provider, may set technical cookies required for infrastructure operation. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
Data usage
We do not sell, share, or monetize your portfolio data. Data is used solely to provide the analysis service you requested.
Security
Since portfolio data is not retained beyond the duration of a request, there is no stored data to breach. Data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.
Future changes
This policy reflects the current state of FactorForge, which does not have user accounts. When account functionality is introduced, this policy will be updated to describe how account data, saved portfolios, and email addresses are stored and used. We will notify users of material changes.
